Dr. Tooba Durrani


Dr. Tooba Durrani is a licensed Naturopathic Physician, Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist, Reiki Master, and Qi Gong instructor. She is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.  She also studied with Classical Chinese Medical scholars and physicians from the Chengdu Medical University in Sichuan, China, and has trained with Qi Gong masters in the Taoist shamanic style from the Er Mai School and the Buddhist martial style known as Jin Jing Gong or “Tendon and Sinew” Qi Gong.

While trained in many modalities from both Eastern and Western medical traditions, Dr. Durrani’s main focus is on energetic medicine, which she sees as a deeper connection to the Universe and Nature.  She primarily uses biotherapeutic drainage, homeopathy, acupuncture, herbs, qigong, Reiki, sound, and diet therapy in the treatment of medical conditions, such as: women's/men’s health, chronic or acute pain, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, anxiety, and depression. She wants to help her patients attain optimal health through the wisdom of Nature.

Dr. Stephen Scheer

Dr. Scheer follows the legacy of his father and great uncle as a Chiropractor, while cultivating a lifelong interest in learning from a diversity of healing traditions.  He is a diplomate in Chiropractic Orthopedics, and has studied as well with masters in healing and spiritual traditions spanning many cultures.  His healing objective is to support, balance and integrate the body’s own intrinsic potential to achieve physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.  His gentle techniques incorporate non-force manipulation,  applied kinesiology, Qigong, meridian therapy and five element theory.  Dr. Scheer’s daily practice of yoga, meditation and Qigong are the mainstays of his ability to remain healthy, passionate and in service to others.

Heather Lewis, L.M.T., L.M.P., C.L.T. , N.T.

 

 

Heather Lewis has been in the medical field for 25 years. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and a Nutritional Therapist. She uses her experience to encourage her patients to be proactive in their health care decisions. Blending Eastern and Western medical traditions, her practice concentrates on whole person health maintenance by supporting the client’s journey back into balance, focusing on the body’s desire and potential to achieve physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. She has worked successfully with clients living with Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, injury rehabilitation, and cancer survivors. For the last three years she has enjoyed sharing what she has found to be successful with her clients and other therapists in an integrative classroom setting combining lecture, hands-on, roll play and networking.   

Heather is also currently serving as a City Planning Commissioner and a Board Member for the Chamber of Commerce in her community.

 

 

 Deborah Steffen H.H.P., R.Y.T

 

 

Deborah Steffen became a certified Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) at Body Mind College in San Diego where she studied massage, energy healing, hypnotherapy, emotional release, and counseling. She has been an avid student of yoga for over 30 years studying Ashtanga, Kundalini, Iyengar, Integral, Bikram and Ananda styles and has also studied Tai Chi. She uses her diverse background of yoga styles when she teaches to offer fresh perspective and material to her students. Deborah taught dance at Hartford School of Ballet and the Albano Dance Academy in Connecticut for over eight years. Teaching has always been Deborah's passion. Currently she is on the path to become a Perfect Health instructor which teaches participants a holistic multi-faceted approach to health developed by Drs. Deepak Chopra and David Simon. She will be teaching Perfect Health in 2008.

Lee Santa Ana, L.M.T.

 

 

Lee Santa Ana has been licensed to perform therapeutic and relaxation massage in Oregon since 2003. He runs Four Winds Restorative Grounds massage clinic in Portland and also performs medical massage at a health clinic in Clackamas, Oregon. Lee draws from his Apache/Tigua heritage to incorporate Native American practices and spirituality into his sessions including massage techniques, smudging and drumming. These are practices that Lee learned from his grandmother in Southern New Mexico and have been part of his daily life for more than 40 years.

 

Dr. Nina Meledandri

 

 

Dr, Nina Meledandri is a licensed Naturopathic Physician, acupuncturist, and Chinese herbalist. Debbie Taylor, B.S., L.M.T.

 

 

Debbie is a graduate of the California College of Holistic Health and has studied Ayurevdic massage while working at the Deepak Chopra Center for Well Being. She is an instructor at the Portland campus for East West College. In her private practice, she helps clients work with the body/mind connection and the cultural asspects of sickness and health in their healing journey. Her extensive experience and compassion towards her students affords opportunities to glean from her wealth of knowlege.

 

Marilyn Michele K, B.F.A.

 

 

Marilyn Michele K was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She is an artist who was a self taught outsider, that formalized her BFA At the prestigious school of The Art Institute of Chicago. She is socially proactive, having both created and administrated non-profits. You will know she is in the room when you hear her laughter. Living fat and lavishly or thin and on the edge, each or all can be encompased and embraced in her work. Proud of her country roots, she is curiously aware of the social structures that move us. Comfortable in her spirit, she will nurture you and encourage you to explore your boundries at the same time. She offers you an experiential exchange in both dialog and participation with her art.

 

Pamela O'Connor, R.M., C.H.T 

 

 

Pamela O’Connor is a Reiki Master/Teacher and registered Counselor/Hypnotherapist in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. She has been teaching Reiki Levels I, II, III for 11 years at Evergreen State University and has worked in the human service field for 20 years while studying human development, quantum physics, spirituality and ancient wisdom. Pamela enjoys teaching this powerful yet gentle Ancient Healing Art that allows the connection to ones spirit, resulting in personal empowerment and authentic self-expression.

 

Carla Nomaiia


Carla Nomaiia created "Nomaiia Yoga" from over 15 years of teaching and personal practice. Certified Kripalu Yoga teacher, TIEGE emotional growth trainer and Usui Reiki facilitator, she specializes in working with people who are longing for something more than simply a physical practice. Featured in 2 Yoga DVDs, her training includes Hatha, Raja & Yantra Yoga, 14 years of classical ballet, Duncan & Graham technique as well as Bioenergetics. She is co-founder & former director of Asclepian Retreat & Education Center in Vermont and founder of the Dance & Movement Program for the original cutting edge arts program at The King George School, VT. Currently Carla travels internationally as Co-founder & Director of Nomaiia Arts LLC, based in Oregon, a business inspiring people to nurture the body & celebrate imagination. She is currently working on a book about feeling the experience of Yoga.
Valerie Branch


Valerie Branch is a dancer and Nia Black Belt in Portland, Oregon. She received her BA in Dance from the University of California at Irvine. She moved to Portland in 1999 where she trained with the founders of the Nia Technique. Through her business, Body Renaissance, Valerie offers classes, workshops, and individual coaching to those from 19 to 90, empowering them to dance and live longer, healthier, more self-expressive lives, using the sensation of pleasure as their guide.
